I enjoyed your post and it does look great.But it is not the greek traditional gyro.it is more like what americans think gyro is.
it is similar but the difference is in the details

    You are absolutely right!! This is far from the traditional gyro. There is no greek pitta in this one, but most importantly the meat....It can never be as delicious when you cook it in a pan. But I had to put something together with what I had at home :)
