Why I love strawberries?!steemCreated with Sketch.

I am enjoying a lazy Saturday afternoon, sitting at home and having some strawberries. I was about to read the August issue of Foodism magazine that I picked up yesterday. All of a sudden, I realized strawberries have graced the cover of this issue. What a coincidence!

You see, there are so many reasons to love strawberries, from its look, colour, taste, scent, to its nutritional value. These plump little berries are simply the most amazing fruit.

Just look at these beauties, the colour alone is enough to make you fall for them. In terms of taste and scent, they provide tartness, sweetness and a beautiful, warm fragrance. Not to mention they are a rich source of nutrition and antioxidants.

There are so much you could do with strawberries. My favourite way to enjoy them is to slice a few of them and add to water. This way, your water will have a nice, natural strawberry flavour. You can also make strawberry flavoured ice cubes by simply chopping them up into small cube-like pieces and add to your ice tray before freezing.

How about you - what's your favourite way to enjoy strawberries?

Pure! Right from the bush!

Excellent @pusteblume - There is nothing better than fresh.

Strawberries are one of my favorites too. I miss them so much here in the tropics... but I bought 12 different varieties of seeds... let's hope one grows here.

Good luck @amy-goodrich and hope to hear good news about your strawberries. Where do you live and how is the climate like? I know many grow strawberries in greenhouse here in Canada.

Thanks! We live in tropical Cambodia, SE-Asia. Though it isn't impossible to grow them here, it will be a challenge. Hence me buying all the seed varieties I could find hehe.
