I am thoroughly impressed by the way EU is handling the issue of Food toxicity arising due to pesticides
This is necessary in every part of the world, to have checks and mechanisms to ensure the safety of humanity and ecosystems
I worked with non governmental organisations in India to ensure food safety.
Due to collective efforts we were able to pressure the government to conduct a door to door survery for Cancer in Punjab.
Punjab is one of the most agriculture intensive zones in the world. It has the highest per capita use of pesticides and fertilisers . and on top of it the government supports BT cotton farming . Organic farming is too small to change direction of Punjab.
