Last night’s dinner was something else. My tastebuds were giving the kitchen a standing ovation!
What a great evening with nice people and outstanding food. What more could you ask for?
Sushi donut. I’ve seen these on a Instagram but I’ve never had one myself. It was honestly a bit hard to eat because of the size and the shape. But it sure was tasty!
Crispy maki with tempura shrimp and teriyaki sauce. Out of this world!
My friend’s seabass, cooked in Champagne!
And the grand finale.... Coconut panna cotta! 😍
Insanely good.
We drank South African wines and an Asian Mule with the dinner. The service was also very good and the whole restaurant had a nice feel to it.
If you’re in Cape Town, pay a visit to Firefish at the Waterfront! This is an area that’s packed with restaurants, bars and shops. It’s a must see when you visit Cape Town.

The whole food look yummy. I have been seeing sushi online too but never tasted it too. I hope my own tasting day comes fast. Those pics are all looking good.

I can't seize to imagine how this is going to taste owing to the fact it looks more like a fatty food. Its quit appetizing but i really want to how those vegetables on top of it really taste

I highly doubt that any of us on the trip, healthy and active people, are going to have a heart attack because we had one unit of alcohol, some fish, and rice, plus a tiny dessert on vacation. LOL!

Professional athletes have heart attacks lol, just because you do yoga every Tuesday and Friday and eat vegan only solent greens, doesn't mean you are excluded. The food was really rich - it was only a joke boss. Keep up the good work though.

So too be honest I'm not a big sushi kind of guy... but I do have to say that I've made an effort. It's not that I don't like it, I guess I've just not eaten enough of it to know what I like the most. I do have to say though it is growing on me, the more I go out and have it.

I've never heard or seen that. I love sushi, it's one of my favorite foods! There was a restaurant in Chile that had the best sushi! That's one of the things I really miss!

The sushi donut made me laugh because it's an actual donut shape. I've grown up with my mom comparing every yummy thing to a donut. If it was a really good bite of sushi, she would call it a sushi donut, haha! I'll have to show her this.

Japanese food is delicious! We were gobbling down miso in Japan like it was our last meal.
A cooking class we attended in Tokyo is definitely worth a mention.. we ended up making an episode of a Japanese cooking show.
