@travel-cuisine very nice article and thank you for the recipe as well . I read somewhere once, the origin of the kalakand is somewhere in Rajasthan. And the preparation of Kalakand varies from Places to places. While the North East and East part of India i.e Bengal prepares somewhat like milky white kalakand, the same thing is popular in fried version in the western part of India, where it is commonly known as Ajmeri Kalakand.
