Ultra sound is a technique that is used for diagnostic purposes. at the extend we know about it. Recently i acknowledge another benefit of ultrasound waves. These waves can be used to preserve food for long time by killing microbes.

Ultrasound are basically sound waves that are used. These are of many categories divided on the base of its intensity. Power ultrasound category are used for the preservation purposes. These waves have intensity of 100 MHz to 1 KHz. These waves have the power to kill the microbes without effecting the quality of food. Without any thermal treatment we can preserve our food. there will be no nutritional/ nutrients losses occur.
