I like to cook and use common cheap ingredients to come up with a new twist. I am allergic to onions so I can't use them in my recipes but if you like them the proper amount for this recipe is 1/4 cup finely chopped onion, OR 1 teaspoon onion powder added when you add the chopped pickles.
Having three kids and one who has Asperger's and a very picky eater, this recipe was a hit. My son would not eat hamburgers for the longest time but he would eat this. And the only pickles he will eat is when it is in this recipe. I hope you enjoy. Let me know if you are gonna try it out. Then if you do come back and let me know how your family liked it.

We had to trick him into eating lettuce too, but after a few bites he knew and discovered he liked it. Now he will try just about anything once. And will even eat things he isn't fond of. But he still won't eat things he doesn't like and pickles unless it is in this pie is one of his no way foods
