Once I get a yard that is mine (currently in an apartment complex) I would love to make a garden like that!

I have started one out the front of my house, and it actually is amazing how rewarding it is when things start growing :) Life which was previously weeds/barren. There are so many ways one can go about it, but my go-to way is to use raised planter beds as it a) makes it easier to keep the weeds away, as well as if you live in a rental, you can put one in your yard without really getting in trouble as you can disassemble them. In the past, my family has used cement blocks to contain the soil, as well as wooden ones you can see in the graphics above.

I just love the idea of being able to grow something which is your own, regardless of how much land you have. A future project of mine when I have a house which is truly mine, is to start a small indoor garden, possibly using self-watering systems as well as LED lighting. Would give a nice atmosphere as well as produce edible food! :D
