CHOCOLATE PANCAKE STACK Recipe - Not sure a naughty breakfast could get any better!

in food •  8 years ago

Dark, bitter sweet, spongey and utterly decadent - particularly when slathered in fresh fruit and chocolate sauce and served with cream or even ice cream!

Now, this bad boy isn't an everyday breakfast event, mostly due to my extreme laziness in the morning and not wanting to get out bed but also because there are a few too many calories going-on in this!

But luckily for those mornings when you do have a little more time and you feel like treating yourself, you'll be happy to hear that making these is very easy.

Start off by mixing together all of the dry ingredients in a large bowl - a simple balloon whisk will do this job very nicely.

Next give your eggs and milk a little beat together so that they become super friendly :)

Your final step ahead of cooking is slowly bringing the wet mix and dry mix together mixing all the time and working out any lumps. Once done, you're ready to pop a large frying pan on the hob, heat a little butter and add some of the thick batter, you want to add around a palm sized amount.

Cook about 3 together over a medium to low heat until you see bubbles appearing and popping in the wet batter; when you see this flip them over and cook for a further 40-60 seconds before serving them up.

Then I like to add some fruit, chocolate sauce and take time to stand around in the kitchen marveling at my creation... just like this hahaha!

For around 12-16 pancakes you'll need:
300g Plain Flour
80g Cocoa Powder
360 ml Milk
2 Eggs
60 ml Butter (melted)
4 Tsp Baking Powder
2 Tbsp Sugar

Thank you for stopping by it's greatly appreciated :-)

are those just screen shots from your video?

I am using a mixture of stills taken while making my recipe and also video grabs.

oh ok. cool. I'm trying to figure out the best way to take out video grams and keep them High Quality.

Do you use a MacBook ?

I do.

Ok I run the video out on YT at the highest quality frame rate, then pause when needed and hit 'cmd' , 'shift' and '4' - that will give you a screen grab cursor which you use to make the grab area :-)

ok. I know how to do that, but for some reason it just doesn't look as good.

Oh they look delitefully dangerous!

Indeed they are !!! xx
