I've been making this smoothie daily for almost two years. It's boosted my immune system and I've only had one minor cold since then. It's green, it's healthy and extremely adaptable to whatever you might have on hand. Here's the base recipe for one large drink (approximately 500 ml). The brackets are the ingredients that I've been using of late:
2 large handfuls of a leafy green vegetable (spinach)
60 ml water
60 ml non-dairy milk (coconut rice milk)
1 banana (can be frozen too if you want something really cold!)!
1 large handful frozen fruit (frozen peaches)
A chunk of peeled fresh ginger
A spoonful of ground flax seeds
A spoonful of chia seeds
Pinch of cinnamon
Pinch of cardamom
Put everything in a blender and blitz until smooth. Sorry no photo of the final product because we drank it too fast!
