Food Snaps #91

Onion Hopia

Hiya Everyone! Tori here! Today, I'll he showcasing a tea time Filipino dessert. Onion Hopia is a dish that comes from the Philippines but is influenced with Chinese culture. It is a flaky pastry with a sweet onion filling at the center. This sweet onion filling is kind of peculiar because onions are usually associated with savoury foods but sweet onion is just a whole another level of complexity in taste. Hopias can have a variety of fillings but sweet onion filling really stands out from the rest.
