Vietnamese Dessert

in food •  8 years ago

When it comes to food, Vietnam has quite a variety of dishes to choose from. Many people around the world know and love Pho (pronounced Fuu) and many have tried or at least heard of Banh My (Sandwiches from the French occupation era) but not too many people have tried Vietnamese desserts. My personal favourite is Sua Chua Nep Cam. I sort of got addicted to it when I was staying Nam Dinh city for a while last year. It is a mixture of purple rice, yogurt and sweet milk and ice, although due to my teeth sensitivity I usually skip the ice part unless it's really hot outside. Often by skipping the ice the server puts more sua chua nep cam into my glass. Here's one I enjoyed.

Peace and happiness from Vietnam!

Careful, that's just an appetizer here in Vietnam. )

That looks amazing. Almost like bobo tea with the tapioca, I love that stuff.

I really have to be careful of desserts here. I get addicted to them and blow up like a balloon. ))) The purple rice and yogurt with sweet milk is my favourite for sure! thanks for checking it out WT!
