Stroganina

Stroganina is a freshly frozen fish (mostly whitefish, nelma, etc.), one of the main dishes of the northern cuisine (popular in the North Russian, Yakut cuisine, Komi cuisine). It is served to the table in a raw, frozen form, cut with "shavings".
I will show you how some peoples of the Russian North are doing this. First you need to take fish, only the fish from the whitefish family are suitable, it is freshwater fish. They take only fresh fish and clean it and then freeze it so that it becomes solid as a tree. After that, take a knife from Damascus steel as in the picture or if you do not have it then take any very sharp knife. And cut the fish into thin pieces as shown in the picture add salt and black pepper to taste and the dish is ready. This is a very tasty dish, but it must be eaten while the fish is frozen.
