RECIPE :Fresh green bishops pepper chile sauce (original photos)

in food •  7 years ago  (edited)

This morning I picked some peppers form our garden . This pepper has an unusual shape. It look a lot like a bell. It however is not a very loud pepper as it has medium to hot flavor. This pepper has few names the bishop's crown,Christmas Bell or Jokers hat. These names are derived form how it looks. The Joker's hat is native to Barbados.

After picking these lovely peppers I decided to make a sauce. I had never used bishpo's before to make a sauce. For me all good sauces have 2 main ingredient Vinegar and oil. Hoping to make delicious sauce I added salt and garlic. Because, these peppers were not to hot I think i will added some birds eye.

Okay , so I have my ingredients . now for some quantities. Lets see

  1. the main ingredient the bishops lets used 30 of them.
  2. the vinegar for now 1/2 a cup , depending on the thickness I might add a little more.
  3. I always use 1/2 the amount of oil to the vinegar
  4. 1-1.5 tps of salt
  5. 1/2 tsp sugar This will bring it together
  6. 3 pieces of garlic

I added all the ingredients to a blender and it .

Now all that need to be done is to blend it all together. The results were wonderful, just have a look . the thickness is just prefect and their was no need to add the extra vinegar.

It's time to enjoy with a sunny side up
