Super Easy Chocolate Fudge!

Say farewell to your diets and your clean conscience, it's time to learn about a super easy and tremendously delicious recipe for making yourself fat... I mean... that's what it will do if you eat too much of it.

Being someone who is fat already, there is no sweat off my back to occasionally indulge myself in a bit of chocolate bliss.

What you will need

There is so many variants you can make with this recipe but let's stick to the basics and then we can explore the others later on.

400-500g of Chocolate - Whatever you like, preferably not something with pieces in (though you can experiment with that yourself)
2x Packets of Biscuit - Seen here is Marie biscuits. Shortbread would be nice too!
1x Can of Condensed Milk
1x Can of Caramel Treat

So simple!

Almost everything in this recipe can be swapped out for something else, but you will need a base and you will need chocolate. The biscuit can be as fine or as chunky as you want or could be replaced with something like Rice Crispies (However they are not so nice because they get hard).

Caramel Treat is to taste and can be swapped out for Bar One chocolates if you don't mind stirring. Or you can put BOTH in if you want!

Step 1 - Break the Biscuits!

Before you put anything on the stove you want to break your biscuits up. Now I realize that there are many ways on how you can do this. I found the simplest way is to use a clean plastic bag and to roll a pin over it.

Do not beat your plastic bag as you will tear it and make a mess. Rather just place the roller on top and apply pressure, give it a bit of a massage and then shake it up and smooth it out again. You'll see - get through the batch and make it all uniformly crushed.

Tip - Do a packet of biscuits at a time and make things easier for yourself.

Step 2 - Break up your chocolates and add the Condense Milk and Caramel

Break up the chocolate into smaller pieces. This is just to make sure that the chocolate melts easier.

I am going to add a whole bunch of pictures because I know most people will just glance through the pics instead of reading anyway. After all - A picture is worth a thousand words.

Step 3 - Melt it all!

Now that you have put the chocolate, caramel and condensed milk all in the pot it is time to start stirring!

Important! Stir and stir well! This stuff can burn really fast. Pay attention to your nose, you will notice the smell of caramalization before it starts to really burn.

Step 4 - Put the Biscuits in!

Now simply add your crushed biscuits and start mixing. The more you add the harder it gets. Again, I recommend that you add one half of the biscuit at a time. Doing it all at once is just going to make it difficult and you are not going to get a nice smooth mix.

Final Step - Wham Pan Thank you Ma'am

Pour your mixture in a pan or in my case a pyrex dish. Any form will do really. I imagine a cake form would do well as well if you wanted to make funny shapes. You should line that container with some kind of non-stick. I used some flour and it works quite well.

- Tip - Use a spoon and a bit of milk to smooth out your batch.

This stuff is sticky, real sticky. If you coat a table spoon with milk then the mix will not stick to the spoon and you will be able to smooth it all down into the form/pan/whatever.

Put it all in the fridge and after 30-45mins it should be stiff but not yet rock hard.

- Tip - Don't let it harden too much before cutting and taking it all out!

Conclusion

You could make this recipe a number of different ways. Just remember that if you add something that is more soft to the mix that you will have to balance it out with something else or else it will not set.

A recent discovery is that peanut butter will counter the setting into biscuits because of all that oil in the mix. The solution is to balance your ingredients. A little too much peanut butter and you will need to get more chocolate or biscuit to make that mix set.

Still, it is super easy to make and super delicious. You also have the opportunity to make what ever kind of Chocolate Fudge you want!

Enjoy!
