Dessert Recipe - Serradura ( Biscuit Pudding)

Olá Steemians!

Portugal is a country with many gastronomic traditions especially regarding to sweets. And they are extremely proud of them! Me included!

Each region of Portugal has their own desserts and recipes were almost kept a secret in the past, reason why nowadays we can still find so different and distinct sweets throw the country.

I'm sharing with you a super easy recipe called "Serradura". Try and let me know how much you like it!

Ingredients:
• 1 package of biscuits type “rich tea” (200 gr)
• 2 packs of double cream (200 ml each)
• 1 can of condensed milk

Method:

  1. Crush the wafers and set aside.
  2. Beat the double cream until it is creamy and set aside a portion for the topping. To the remaining add the condensed milk and stir well.
  3. In a bowl (you can use individual bowls as in the image or a bigger one for all quantity) put a layer of crushed biscuits and other of cream on top. Repeat until both are finished.
  4. Finally, cover with the cream that was reserved and sprinkle with biscuits.
  5. Bring to the cold and serve.
