Wendy's Off-Menu Items

I have found there is nothing posted under the #fooddom tag. That is unfortunate, as it is a fantastically delicious and ridiculous sub-culture that has sprung up, seemingly in recent years.

You may or may not be aware, but several fast food restaurants have secret menu items. Some of those items are delicious. Some are heart attacks waiting to happen.

Who's kidding themselves, ALL of them are heart attacks waiting to happen.

My burger joint of choice is Wendy's, so I've been looking up their secret menu a little bit. For the most part it's just adding more burgers (The T. Rex sports 12 beef patties) but some of them are a bit more peculiar.

My go-to:
Pretty much every time I go to Wendy's I get the same thing. A spicy chicken burger with added bacon and an added beef patty ON the burger. I emphasize "ON" because if you order this you may have to do the same. A couple of times I've had them give me a spicy chicken with the beef patty thrown into a plastic container on the side. UNACCEPTABLE!
Right now they have the Asiago Ranch Chicken Club which, if ordered, already has the bacon. The ranch is a nice change of pace too.

The Barnyard Burger:
This is pretty similar to my go-to, but sports extra cheese and a slice of ham. I don't think Wendy's serves ham in Canada, so this may be out of my reach... either way, I'm quite happy without.

The Meat Cube:
Like things simple? Enjoy that feeling of self hatred after eating something you know you shouldn't have? Get the meat cube! This is JUST meat and cheese, sporting a traditional 1lb of beef patties. You can actually get as many patties as you want of course, but for god sake don't. Some get standard toppings with this, but that kind of kills the fun doesn't it?

Wendy's secret menu items are a bit slim compared to other places, but I don't particularly care about those other places. Hence, this gets stuck in a new Fooddom tag.
