Photo is mine. This is one of my favorite food which I always request as pasalubong from friends and families that go to Visayas.

We call this here in the Philippines chocolate moron. It is a variety of suman, a rice cake that is normally wrapped with banana leaves. It is made out of ground glutinous rice. But this one has cacao powder which makes the other half of the suman chocolatey. This food originates basically in the Visayas region of the Philippines and my mom is from there, Leyte. Others prefer it with bits of nuts on it but for me anything goes as long as its a chocolate moron!
