in foodphotography •  7 years ago  (edited)

Does anyone like to eat Ramen(拉麺)? It is pronounced as ra..men, is a Japanese noodle but this shop is managed by Chinese Muslim came from China. As he is a Muslim, the Ramen is served with halal meat like Chicken sliced meat, Beef or Lamp, as well as Vegetarian, cooked in Chinese style with soup or sauce. To suit customer taste bud, there is always chilly paste in small container readily available for you to add on to enhance the hot taste.

This Shop is located on the lower Ground floor at Summit Mall, USJ 1. The business in this shop is considered above average as far as pricing and crowd are concerned. The shop is clean and quite spacious between table.

The Ramen easily come with more than 10 styles of preparation to suit your taste bud. Most of the dishes offer a choice of Chicken, Beef or Lamp prepared in Soup or Source. Besides Ramen selection, the chef also offers other dishes like fried rice of different style and China style jio zhi

The original of Ramen is unclear, some said it was originated from China while some argue it is from Japan. As far as in Malaysia, you can get Ramen in Japanese Restaurant as well as Chinese run Restaurant. The history of Ramen is recorded in Reference

Ramen by its name means pull-noodle. Essential, the This noodle is hand-pull from prepared paste made from flour, egg and water. After they are well mixed, it forms a paste which is soft but rigid. Then the chef will start to roll the paste into long shape until a stage he will use both his hand swing and pull sideways while it is still swinging. He will swing and pull the paste until it becomes the size of about 1-2 MM in diameter.

The origin of ramen is unclear. Some sources say it is of Chinese origin. Other sources say it was invented in Japan in the early 20th century.According to the record of the new Yokohama Ramen Museum, ramen originated in China and made its way over to Japan in 1859. The word ramen is a Japanese transcription of the Chinese lamian (拉麵). In 1910, a Chinese restaurant serving ramen in at Yokohama's Chinatown received public praise in Japan. Until the 1950s, ramen was called shina soba (支那そば, literally "Chinese soba") but today chūka soba (中華そば, also meaning >"Chinese soba") or just ramen (ラーメン) are more common, as the word "支那" (shina, meaning "China") has >acquired a pejorative connotation.

muslims from china are usually from 兰州, and 兰州拉面is really good and delicious! I did realize they call their shops kungfu la mien in Malaysia. originally they use beef broth or mutton soup for their noodles. Even for their chicken dish, they are really really good! I haven't try the ones in Malaysia yet.

@asianetwork Where do you live ?
I dont know what other shop name they use elsewhere.
They do serve Beef and lamp besides chicken though

I live in China now. But I do know they call themselves kungfu lamien when I went back home. they don't call themselves kungfu here because 拉面is basically handmade noodles which is quite common in China

I see, thanks for the update. No problem to access to Steemit.com in China , right ?

nope,no problem so far

Wow! Congrats @digitalmind on getting curie's vote. Well, I'm not really an eater of any noodles so I don't think I would enjoy eating ramen. But because I have never tried it before, perhaps I'll try it when I get to a city.

I ate the crap out of it when I was in Korea . now here and there

Different county cooked different style but most of them are delicious
