#Foodphotography - Fried Halo halo

This sweet delicacy called “fried halo halo” is a Big favorite at Halo halo de Iloko, a popular restaurant in the City of San Fernando which is owned by a good friend, Xave and wife April. And this is what we ordered the last time we visited the place just the other day. I have never really done one of these but I will try to describe how it was prepared based on how I tasted it.

The thick base is composed of over cooked, ripe banana or what we call ‘saba’ and some jackfruit that is sweetened with brown sugar and clothed with food wrapper then carefully fried in lard. Then set on a plate and topped with a scoop of ice cream, grated cheese and a sweet red cherry. The taste is really inviting.
