"Memorial Day" American BBQ

Steemit Family, here is an American Memorial Day BBQ

I would also like to take this time to give a moment of silence and prayer to all the soldiers who have served this country, fought for this country, and died for this country. You are respected individuals, and we will never be able to thank you the same way you have protected us. God Bless!

My father spent time in the Military, as well as just about all my uncles on my mother's side. Patriotism runs in the blood from both sides of the gene pool. I love my country!

Here is a little info about memorial day. I gathered this information from History.com.

Memorial Day is an American holiday, observed on the last Monday of May, honoring the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military. Memorial Day 2018 occurs on Monday, May 28. Originally known as Decoration Day, it originated in the years following the Civil War and became an official federal holiday in 1971. Many Americans observe Memorial Day by visiting cemeteries or memorials, holding family gatherings and participating in parades. Unofficially, it marks the beginning of the summer season.
