I have no idea what these could be. In parts of Britain - SCOTLAND to be precise - they deep fry some strange things. I know for a fact that they sometimes deep fry MARS BARS and I'm fairly sure they also deep fry pies (pastry things).

So, I'm guessing these things consist of a pair of bananas in batter which is then deep-fried for a sweet-savoury. Though my second guess would be that they're oven baked bananas in puff pastry with a sweet glazing.

I guess I'll give turon with langka a quick google... :)

I hope they were nice.
