Chelsea Football Club and their official beer partner Singha have today extended their relationship for two years.
The commitment brings a continuation of their longest-running partnership, which began in 2010 and has seen Singha served exclusively at Stamford Bridge since, with over 330,000 pints poured at their stadium each season.
In the seven years they have partner with Singha, the club has enjoyed doubtful success on the pitch, lifting every major European and domestic trophy, while off it we have seen our global popularity grow and grow, particularly in Asia.
They have visited Singha in Thailand for matches in 2011, 2013 and 2015, with the Academy also touring in Bangkok in 2012.
During the partnership, our Here to Play, Here to Stay initiative has seen us provide grassroots coaching to thousands of Thai youngsters, and we launched the Singha-Chelsea Football League in 2014 as more than 7,000 teams competed to win a trip to London and see the Blues play.
In 2015 we underlined our commitment to the region with the opening of the Chelsea FC Soccer School at the NIST International School Bangkok.
Chris Townsend, Chelsea FC commercial director, said: ‘We are happy to continue our long-term partnership with Singha.
It is always popular at Stamford Bridge but it is good to say our partnership spread far beyond south-west London, as we have built such a close bond with the great country of Thailand.
‘Through matches, community agenda and the job undertaken with Singha and our other partners, we have noticed direct what an enthusiastic fan base we have in Thailand and we anticipate this lasting partnership keeping Chelsea as close as ever to the Thailand people.’
Voravud Bhirombhakdi, Singha vice managing director, added: ‘We started our formal partnership with Chelsea 7 years ago and it has been a marvellous experience for Singha to be with the club in this highly victorious time in their history.
‘With the continuance of our long-running ties, we hope to furthering the good work we have done together in boosting the development of football in Thailand, take high the international profile of Chelsea FC and engaging with their ever-increasing fan base.’
