Retired English referee, Howard Webb, reportedly earned £120,000 during the course of the 2013/14 English domestic season.
FIFA World Cup: FIFA World Cup referees are paid a lump sum of $50,000 for the entire tournament, even if a referee officiates only one match. 
Considering the stressfulness and importance of the referee's job I expected them to be paid much more. We know that the footballing industry has enough money to pay them well...

World cup referees have it the best, 50k just for refereeing one match. Not bad at all.
