The Super Eagles of Nigeria makes the dream of all Nigerians to come through when they qualified for the Russia 2018 World Cup. The Eagles were the first African Nation to qualify for the World Cup finishing the series with 14points, six more than Zambia.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria having been placed in Group D of the Russia 2018 World Cup with familiar foes Argentina, debutantes Iceland and star-studded Croatia.
It was a magical moments when the Eagles won over the Argentine with 4:2 victory in the international friendly match which was played at Krasnodar, Russia.
Nigerians worshipped football more than God, I know it's crazy but it's the truth. They support their own with everything, they don't care if the match is fixed in the middle of the night. All they want is results, good results and group efforts.
According to the President of Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick who revealed that the Super Eagles will play some international friendly matches before the World Cup will starts. And these matches will be with Poland, England, Czech and Serbia. These friendly fixtures are steps in the right direction, especially the game with Serbia and Czech Republic, as this will give us an insight of what to expect from Croatia.
Even in the mist of hopelessness, Nigeria Football rose beyond expectations and saw the country qualify for the 2018 World Cup. And this is the question that comes to every Nigerians mind, "What are we to expect from our own very team?"
Go Super Eagles!!! Go Nigeria!!! Go Africa!!! Make us proud.
