Romelu Lukaku comments on goal tease aimed at Everton fans

in football •  7 years ago

It was the question on everyone’s minds prior to Man United v Everton. Whether Romelu Lukaku would celebrate scoring against his former club or play it cool.

The big Belgian striker had no problem mocking Everton fans after scoring United’s third in their 4-0 Premier League thrashing. Lukaku stated that he meant no disrespect and that it’s just football. We can’t imagine Evertonians will be forgiving the 24-year old any time soon.

“It’s another goal, really, but I’m happy with the win and staying near the top of the league,” Lukaku told Sky Sports.

“It’s just a bit of banter, with the free-kick I missed, they booed me. It’s just football.”

They were booing him when he was taking the free kick, that made him celebrate like that, but I think it was the perfect response.

this is a joy of football, celebrating, making fun of, so it's not that easy, but it's not that kind of attitude. All very boring, boring, has no comments and percussion
