Steemit NCAA Football Picks: Conference Championships 2016

It’s conference championship week for NCAA football, so it’s time for more picks and payouts!

Last week’s picks for Rivalry Week was quite a success. The pot grew to a whopping 463 STEEM, thanks to our sponsor @blocktrades and to other highly influential voters, including @berniesanders, @smooth, @riverhead, @xeldal, @summon, @enki, and @nextgencrypto. The winners from last week were:

1st place – @full-measure, 231.50 STEEM
2nd place – @tuck-fheman, 138.90 STEEM
3rd place – @applecrisp, 92.60 STEEM

Four users picked all of the correct winners, but the points separated @full-measure from the rest of the group. He successfully picked the closest point totals for four of the five games, including an exact point total for the Florida vs. Florida State game. The total points scored in the five games was 254 – which happened to be the same total points of @full-measure’s selections! You can’t get much closer than that without picking the exact scores for each game. Maybe that’ll be something for @full-measure to improve on for this week.

Just as I did last week, I’ll choose the games and you’ll need to tell me who the winners will be – and you’ll need to pick the point total for each game. The top three pickers will split all of the liquid rewards from this post, as outlined below.

Here’s how it all works

I will post selected games from the NCAA football schedule. The match-ups will be listed below and all information comes from ESPN.com.

This is what you’ll need to do:

1. Review the games and choose the team that you believe will win for each game.
2. Choose a point total for each of the games. This is how many total combined points you believe both teams will score during the game.
3. Type your chosen winners and your points into a comment on this post.

Only one set of picks per user. All picks must be submitted by 11:00pm (23:00), New York Time, on Thursday night – December 1, 2016.

This is what I will do:

1. Once your picks and points are submitted, I will go through and verify them by replying CONFIRMED and copy-pasting your submission. I will then take a screen shot of both comments demonstrating that they match. If there are any disputes, the screen shot will be submitted as evidence. Once your picks are confirmed, they cannot be changed – so do not submit until you’re 100% sure of your choices!
2. Winners will be chosen by the number of correct teams picked, then the closest point totals for each of the winning selections. Tie-breakers will be the points from each of the games. In the event of a tie after the points tie-breaker, the rewards will be distributed to the user that posted their picks first, chronologically.
3. The rewards will be divided between the winners as follows: First place – 50% of the total liquid payout; Second place – 30%; Third place – 20%.
4. The payout for the top three winners will come from the initial liquid author rewards from this post, so there is no cost for submission. I will transfer the full liquid author rewards to the winners, I will take a screenshot of the transfers, and I will announce the winners and payout in a follow-up post.
