Virginia Tech Beats UVA 14 Straight Years

Last month, I posted As a Hokie fan, I'm glad UVA Football is decent.  Let me tell ya, the closer we got to the game yesterday the more nervous I was.  UVA almost pulled off the huge upset vs Miami and Tech really has not played all that great recently.  I mentally prepared myself for the Cavaliers to finally get some revenge, but thankfully I was mistaken.  UVA played like the classic UVA all Hokie fans know and love.  Bud Foster's defense came away with the shutout which was the third time throughout the win streak.  Tech's offense really didn't do a whole lot but it was just enough.  The Hokies ended up with 345 total yards, which isn't super, but definitely a lot better than UVA's 191.

Thankfully, us Hokie fans can sleep in peace for the next year.  I am happy UVA is heading in the right direction and to a bowl, but that makes the victory so much sweeter.  The fans finally thought this could be the year they regain the Commonwealth Cup, but nope!  I hope UVA continues to do well and win every game, except for one.  I can't think of anything that would make me happier than Tech crushing UVA's dreams season after season.
