Morocco is the only team to have not conceded a goal in the qualifying group stage at the World Cup in the Africa zone.
Morocco finished in a good qualifying campaign for the 2018 World Cup by winning in Ivory Coast (2-0) on Saturday night, ensuring its presence in Russia. Incidentally, Hervé Renard's men managed a small feat: they are the only ones not to have conceded the slightest goal during the six matches of the pool phase of the Africa zone (their group C also included Gabon and Mali).
In the other confederations, one nation achieved the same feat, even though it was a smaller group (three teams): New Zealand, who kept their clean sheet in their four games against the New Caledonia and Fiji.
But neither the All Whites nor the Atlas Lions have managed a truly faultless run: the first conceded three goals in their shoot-off against Solomon Islands while the second took a goal in the clash. return to Equatorial Guinea in the second qualifying round (the one preceding the group stage in Africa).
