Today is the Day for the Philippines Football League!

Today is our anticipated opening games of the Philippines Football League. After series of misfortunes and mismanagement, the league is back with their hashtags #onepassiononeleague , #pfl, and #wearepfl on twitter.

This league has been broken, a result of a failed promise of Philippine Premier League handled by Bernie Sumayao which teams do broke apart. The Philippine Football Federation stepped up, and decided to take over the league. Well, for us this is better than the previous though there are still way a lot to improve. We are hoping that Senator Manny Pacquiao, a sports icon can bring hope in this league the same as what he did with boxing and basketball (Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League).

Above will be the line-up of Kaya Iloilo FC, the defending Paulino Alcantara Cup winners. Notable players for this very promising team and one of the title contenders are : Jovin Bedic, Yannic Tuason, and Arnel Amita. They have recently competed internationally in AFC (Asian Champions League) and has won big games but failed short to reach the playoffs.

However, the team is very keen and positive for their future as they have been in a momentum to win games. I am positive for this team to compete with Ceres!

Ceres Negros FC line-up is always the strongest formed ever. They have the reinforcements of the current and previous players of Philippine National Football Team and they are looking for more titles. They are the NO.1 Football Club in South East Asia and has proven their worth in domestic and international leagues.

Overall though still new, I am positive for the future of the league. What we lack is the primary support of the government and big institutions to foster this league. Also, if we can add influencers to join our squad then I can see the future will be bright for football in the Philippines
