in football •  7 years ago

Tottenham Hotspur and English international Dele Alli has agreed to extend his contract with the Premier League team. At the moment he earns £60k per week and his new contract will be for £100k per week.

A few days ago goalscorer Harry Kane agreed also to extend his contract until 2024 and the next step is the signature of midfielder Christian Eriksen. Jan Vertonghen, Eric Dier, Kieran Trippier and Son Heung-min are also to receive new offers this summer but Toby Alderweireld's future remains uncertain.

Dele Alli's contract will end in 2022. He joined the Spurs back in 2015 and since then has made 106 Premier League appearances and has scored 37 goals.

It's a good show of intent from Spurs. You tie down your best legs when you have a great ambition lying ahead. I just doubt if these lads are enough for Tottenham to finally peak or should I say... Perhaps, their pedigree as a club doesn't really favour them to be up there

Dele is an amazing young player, the Spurs should keep him.
