Juve completes permanent transfer of Douglas Costa

in football •  7 years ago  (edited)

Serie A champion Juventus has completed the permanent move of Brazilian international Douglas Costa. The 27-year-old winger spent the last season on loan from Bayern Munich, but managed to convince the bosses to move him permanently.

There was a clause in Costa's contract that gave the right to Juventus to keep the forward for €40m. The Bianconeri took advantage of the clause and signed him until 2022.

Costa made a name of himself in Shakhtar Donetsk and in 2015 he joined Bayern. He made a few very good appearances in the Bundesliga but couldn't convince the managers to be in the starting 11 which made him search for a new team. In the last season he made 47 appearances in all competitions and scored 6 goals with 15 assists made.
