In a shocking performance, Liverpool won 3-0 in the 1st leg of the Semi-finals from the UEFA Champions League. The Reds started with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane in the forward line and precisely the Egyptian scored again in the 12 minute after an assist from Firmino.
The domination continued after James Milner assisted to Oxlade-Chamberlain to score the 2nd goal in the 21th minute. The domination continued after Sadio Mane scored an amazing header in the 31st minute after a cross from Mohamed Salah. This meant that Liverpool scored 3 goals in just 19 minutes.
This is how the 2nd half started and Salah was subbed off for unknown reasons and Georginio Wijnaldum was let in. Pep Guardiola tried to change his negative situation by subbing Raheem Sterling in. Roberto Firmino was also rested as Klopp letting in Dominic Solanke in. Guardiola didn't make anymore changes and the situation didn't change, even though City put up a big effort to scored a handful of goals. However, this didn't happen. Now, Liverpool have the upper hand in the rematch in Manchester and will focus back on the Premier League battle for the 2nd place with rival Manchester united.
