In a spectacular game at the Santiago Bernabeu in the 2nd leg of the UEFA Champions League final as Real Madrid ended in a 2-2 breathless draw. The Whites were on the brink of losing their spot on the final as the Bavarians were only 1 goal away from taking their place in a game against either Liverpool or Roma.
The match started with a really early goal Joshua Kimmich scored in the 3rd minute after an assist from Corentin Tolisso. Real Madrid were in an early shock but managed to keep matters into their own hands as Karim Benzema scored in the 11 minute after a pass from Marcelo who once again had a big impact for the Real Madrid goals.
The Bavarians had a dozen of chances until the of the half but didn't manage to score. After the break, Bayern Munich goalkeeper Sven Ulreich made a horrendous mistake and Benzema snatched the 2nd goal for Real and they were in the lead once again which meant that The Reds needed 2 goals so they can advance to the final.
However, the Bavarians didn't stop and equalized in the 63rd minute as James Rodriguez scored in a mess in the penalty area. Jupp Heynckes subbed in Sandro Wagner in order to strength the attack force. There was a cannonade of shots fired at Keylor Navas, but the Costa Rican goalkeeper was incredible and Real were able to reach the final.
