Qatar World cup
Introduction
Welcome to the 2022 Qatar World Cup! We're getting ready to rock and roll, and we want you along for the ride.

Venues
Many of the stadiums will be ready by 2022, but some will only be completed after that date.

For example, one stadium is currently under construction and another is being developed as a permanent venue; this means that those two stadiums won't be ready until at least 2024.

On the other hand, four of the venues are temporary structures: three were built specifically for Qatar 2022, while the fourth was constructed from pre-existing components and will be repurposed once football season ends.

Schedule
The 2022 World Cup will be held in Qatar. It is the first time that a Middle Eastern country has hosted the tournament, and it will be the first to be held during winter.

Qatar's name is not derived from an animal or plant and therefore breaks with tradition; other countries whose names are not derived from animals or plants include Morocco, Peru, Turkey and Ghana (all previous World Cup hosts).

The 2022 World Cup was awarded to Qatar on 4 December 2010 at a FIFA meeting in Zurich after being originally awarded on 2 December 2008.

The decision drew widespread criticism due to allegations of bribery and general corruption by members of FIFA's executive committee who voted on behalf of their home nations' bids. These allegations were later confirmed as true when several members were sanctioned by FIFA's ethics committee for receiving bribes worth millions of dollars each over their votes for Qatar's bid.

Facilities
Qatar has been building stadiums in all of its cities, and they'll be used for other purposes after the World Cup. These new stadiums will be environmentally friendly, and some of them will have retractable roofs (like in Russia).

Transportation
Qatar has a good transportation system. It has a good road network, rail network, public transport network and taxi system.

Mascot
The mascot for the 2022 World Cup is a falcon named "Qatar". The falcon is an ancient symbol of strength, courage, and bravery. Qatar's name is written in Arabic script, although it's pronounced exactly the same as its English counterpart (the n in Qatar is silent).

Tickets
Tickets for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar are currently on sale.

You can purchase tickets by going to the official website of World Cup 2022, or by calling their hotline at (800) 922-8220.

There are two types of tickets: match passes and packages. Match passes give you access to specific matches for one day, while packages give you access to all games for several days at once. If you're only interested in one team's games, buying a package is a better option than buying individual match passes; this way, you don't have to pay extra money just so that your favorite team can play another game on another day that isn't as exciting as yours (and then head home).
