One thing I have been greatful for in the football world is to witness two of the greatest players this word has ever produced. Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. Personally, I am a Ronaldo fan because I have always been a fan of hard work, talent and athleticism and I have always enjoyed Ronaldo style of play. Then again I was enjoying both players and I always wanted their careers to be a step ahead of everyone else and for the past decade it has been that way. Neymar left to PSG and I personally will never understand why, PSG is a good team but Ligue 1 is not really the most watched league in the world now is it. But if he was looking to be best player then he may have to wait a while (Or not).
The latest trophy of UEFA best player goes to Ronaldo but would he have won it if he was not scoring all those goals in the knockout stages of the Champions league and becoming top goal scorer? I really believe that was the case but also it was against Bayern munich and a hattrick against Atletico Madrid and a brace in the final against Juventus.
Every year there were doubts over how Ronaldo would perform but he would always come out on top (unless it was Messi's year). Regardless of the Ballon d'Or he has collected, the numbers he produced year in year out was astonishing. I personally look forward to the titles both him and Messi achieve before they retire. I personally do not think we will see any body take control of the game as much as these two have.
