The game starts and it's Chelsea's kick off, the ball gets played back and I immediately put the pressure on their centre backs forcing them to hurry in possession. The first five minutes are frantic not much football is being played as both sets of players are closing down and applying pressure on the ball.
Around the ten minute mark the ball gets played over the top into space behind the Chelsea centre backs, I anticipate the pass and make my move, I bring the ball under control while closing in on goal, the goalkeeper rushes out, I dribble the ball around him and pass it into the empty net to make it one nil to Orient. I'm buzzing!!
Chelsea kick off to restart the game, and I immediately put the pressure on as the ball is played back, I close down the centre back as he attempts to clear and get a touch on the ball sending it towards the Chelsea goal, the ball stays in play and I receive it at my feet and decide to drive at goal with the defender breathing down my neck.
I fake to shoot and stop the ball moving it from my right to my left foot leaving the goalkeeper on the floor and the defender sliding past me, I pass the ball to my right to my fellow striker who taps the ball into the net to make it two.
It was an excellent start to the game for me, as I've now scored one and created another. Chelsea now up the pressure on us and get a goal back shortly after and go on to equalise just before half time. During the half time break, my new teammates all gave me a pat on the back in appreciation of the half I just had. The team talk was based around getting the ball up to me and applying the pressure on Chelsea's centre backs.
The second half gets underway and the first ten minutes starts the same as the first, and I start exactly how I finished the first half, by staying involved, getting lots of touches on the ball and being a handful for the Chelsea centre backs. I've never felt so confident in a game before this.
The ball comes to me on the edge of the Chelsea box, I take it past two players and curl it perfectly into the far corner of the net to make it 3-2 to Orient. There was a really good feeling during this game, nobody really knew who I was but I could tell that everyone was talking about me and I was feeding off it!
I went on to score two more goals and win the game 5-3, this was my most enjoyable moment playing a football match.
After the game was amazing!! Everyone wanted to talk and congratulate me, and I loved every minute of it. The Orient manager wanted to speak to my parents but as they were not around, he urged me to get them to call him as soon as possible.
As I was making my was home, I was approached by another man that asked: "how long I had been at Orient for?" I told him that this was my first game. He then asked "would I like to play for Chelsea?" as he was a scout. He then gave me his card and said that I would do really well, and that full travel expenses would be paid for me. He also asked where my parents were, and gave me the training details and told me to come to training on the following Tuesday.
I just stood there not knowing what to say, the man left and I was really confused, what should I do? I thought to myself.
To be continued....
