Hello guys, @osigbhemeh here again with the review and talking points of the English premier league gameweek #30 which continued today with seven different matches played across the English top flight league.
The lunchtime fixture was played at Old Trafford as Manchester United welcomed Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool. It was an interesting fixture as Marcus Rashford's brace helped seal a well-deserved victory for Jose Mourinho's men even with an error from Eric Baily that led to the third goal. The said Liverpool's front 3, Salah, Mane and Firmino that were supposed to destroy Manchester United, Eric Baily had all three of them in his pocket. He scored an own goal to make things more interesting. That simple! lol.
The last game of the day saw Chelsea back to winning ways to defeat Crystal Palace after back to back defeats from both Manchester clubs. The blues are two points out of the champions league spot in the Premier league. Two first half goals from Willian and an own goal from Martin Kelly cancelled Van Aanholt's stoppage time goal and secured all three points for the blues. Palace have dropped to the relegation zone and face competition from Stoke city and West brom for survival. Next up for Chelsea will see them travel to Spain to take on Barcelona on Wednesday in the Uefa champions league.
