It's unbelievable to think that a high school freshman has already put himself in position to choose his own destiny. That speaks to the level of talent this kid must have if he is already getting offers from top tier schools. All he has to do is keep his nose clean, keep putting up great numbers and stay healthy. We might be looking at a Heisman hopeful!!!

Our rival school. Hate the Buckeyes, but gotta respect them at the same time. They’ve dominated the Big 10 for quite a while.
Davis Jr seems like a good player but I am not sure he will make it far. Could do well at the college level, but has a long journey to make it to the NFL. I guess a lot can be said about most high school players. Time will tell.

Penn State handed out its first known Class of 2021 offer on Tuesday when the Nittany Lions stopped by Monroeville (Pa.) Gateway High School. Freshman athlete/defensive back Derrick Davis Jr., helped lead the Gators to a 14-2 record this season and a spot in the PIAA Class 5A title game last weekend, and he picked up a scholarship from the Nittany Lions on Tuesday.
The 6-foot, 176-pound prospect is a two-way standout for the Gators, but likely projects as a running back at the next level. Pittsburgh offered back in November. Davis visited Penn State on Oct. 21 for the Nittany Lions’ win over Michigan.

Derrick Davis Jr. already has the look of a player who’s ready to land every offer in the country. Just a freshman, the 2021 athlete comes from a storied Monroeville (Pa.) Gateway program that’s produced many highly recruited standouts. And he already holds offers from the likes of Penn State, Pitt, West Virginia, and Temple. On Monday night, he added perhaps his biggest offer yet — from “a dream school” and one of the nation’s blue-blood programs.
