Chelsea goalie Thibaut Courtois is said to be interested in a move to Real Madrid

  • The 25-year-old Belgian has reportedly offered himself to the Spanish club

  • Real Madrid are also aware that Courtois still has 18 months left on his deal at Chelsea

Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has reportedly offered himself to reigning Spanish and European League champions Real Madrid ahead of the January 2018 transfer window.

According to the report by Guillem Balague, the Belgian goalie wants to leave Chelsea and has already touted his services to Zinedine Zidane’s side.

After spending four seasons at current Premier League champions Chelsea, Thibaut Courtois has 18 months contract at Stamford Bridge, but apparently wants to return to the Spanish capital after spending three years at Atletico.

The report also stated that Thibaut Courtois' children and partner live in Madrid, and the 25-year-old wants a return to Spain.

Chelsea are said to be aware of Thibaut Courtois' interest in joining Real Madrid, and the Blues are now prepared to make the 25-year-old the highest-paid goalkeeper in world football.

Blues' gaffer Antonio Conte is reportedly lining up Sevilla’s Sergio Rico as Courtois’ replacement with Atletico’s Jan Oblak also on his radar.
De Gea was a late fax away from joining Real in September 2015 before signing a new deal to stay at Manchester United while Courtois has not hidden his willingness to leave Chelsea and go back to Spain at some point.

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane wants a better shot stopper than Costa Rica World Cup hero Keylor Navas despite backing him in public.
