For those who love football and football-management games in general, there is a site that could fit these expectations.
It's name is Hattrick (https://www.Hattrick.org/) and it is certainly not a novelty, since it exists since 1997.
Hattrick is a wide world football manager community where each-one fights with the opponents to gain the glory.
Every manager coaches at least one team. Teams challange each other in a championship.
Championships are divides by series. Every nation has a lot of leagues, from the easist to the most difficult one.
Teams who win the league are promoted to the next one, worst teams are relegated to the previous one.
Every manager needs to handle a lot of aspects, from the stadium to the balance, from the football market to the relations with supporters and sponsors, but certainly the most interesting and funniest one is train the team and choose the best composition to win the game.
I know there are a lot of games like Hattrick, but i think it's the best for two reasons.
The first one is that it's totally free. You haven't to pay for win.
If you want you can pay to have a "Supporter" add-on that allows you to have some superfluous features, but you are not constrained to buy it, and it's unnecessary to win.
The second one is that each club has only one match per week, two with the cup, so you can play and be competitive also without spend too many time in front of your pc, and it's an important feature, especially if you are a worker or an husband.
Furthermore, playing once a week involves another important aspect: the time of the game is slow, just like in the reality, so if from one point of view you can't reach the moon in one month, on the other hand every decision has a weight and has to be taken carefully.
Like a real coach!
