There was some post-match confrontation at Old Trafford between United and City outside the dressing rooms, with Jose Mourinho getting some milk thrown over him by one of the City players.

United boss Jose Mourinho was apparently objecting to City’s loud post-match celebrations, which angered the United boss. City won the game 2-1 against their fiercest rivals and the City boys duly celebrated. A bit too loud for Jose’s liking, but did they go over the top?

Many are now accusing City of not having class and that rubbing it in is childish, but they had just beaten United at Old Trafford. They had just broken a new record of 14 consecutive Premier League wins. Why shouldn’t they be boisterous?

City's players celebrated in front of their fans after the final whistle. After the players and staff then headed down the tunnel, and it was here and then that Mourinho let his feelings known to the City players.

It’s known that City and Brazil goalkeeper Ederson and Mourinho exchanged words angrily in Portuguese. Then the row escalated between both parties and Mourinho had some water and milk thrown at him. The milk didn’t hit Mourinho but it did hit one of the United coaches.

City coach Mikel Arteta suffered a cut head after he was hit by a plastic drinks bottle. Nobody knows who threw the bottles, but there is no evidence of any punches or kicks been thrown.

Sour grapes from Jose, it seems. Instead of reacting he should have used the noise from the City celebrations to gee his United team up. Remember it, and the next time they meet he should have used the noise to inspire his team to want to repay that noise back. Instead it seems like the Portuguese cried over the spilt milk.
