The second round of the Bundesliga has started, and the opening match was played between RB Leipzig and Stuttgart yesterday. The match ended with a 4-0 victory for RB Leipzig, and I am sure that both the coach, the team, and the fans were happy about it, after their kind of surprising loss against Mainz in their opening match last weekend.
One of the great joys of the team is also the fact that Dominik Szoboszlai has returned to the team. He was bought from Red Bull Salzburg last year, but he was injured from the first second, meaning that he has spent more than half a year with the team without actually playing.
But, now he is back, and I am very curious to see how he will play for RB Leipzig in the coming matches!
What has he done so far?
Dominik entered the field as a substitute in a cup match against Sandhausen (or something like that) a few weeks ago. He scored a goal after his first touch, and that was almost the end of the game. Then he entered the pitch against Mainz and played 35 minutes, but not much happened then.
Yesterday, he got his first chance in the starting squad, and he said thank you and scored two beautiful goals. The question is if this had just been a lucky start, or if the Hungarian national player will manage to turn into a star in the Bundesliga as well. If he turns into a star, he will not be the first player coming from RB Salzburg to come to the Bundesliga turning into a big star. Do you know which other player did exactly the same? Erling Braut Haland, maybe the biggest profile in the Bundesliga at the moment, due to scoring lots of goals and his young age.
To be honest, I haven't really seen the match yesterday between RB Leipzig and Stuttgart yet, but I have seen some highlights, and I know that I can stream the full match in replay on ESPN+ with my subscription, so I have something to look forward to. But, then I also know that Borussia Dortmund and Erling Haaland will play later today, so I guess this will be a question of prioritizing.
And then I haven't mentioned the fact that there will be Premier League football today as well. And I haven't mentioned the fact that PSG won easily yesterday, even though Messi and Ramos didn't play for the team. But, they are supposed to join the squad and play their first matches for PSG next weekend against Reims. That will for sure be a blast, and I will not be the only one stuck to my screen in order to see Ramos and Messi in their first appearance for PSG.
What are you going to stream this weekend? Do you have a favorite match coming up?
