England fans launched the petition to put the image of Harry Maguire riding the rubber unicorn on rebranded £50 banknote

After the Bank of England announced the plans to redesign the £5, £10 and £50 banknotes, a group of English fans started the petition to pay the tribute to the Three Lions’ hero Harry Maguire. Not just any image of Maguire is pushed though but the famous one of 2018 World Cup semi-finalist riding the rubber unicorn during the pool race at the training base in Repino.

At the current moment the petition has reached almost 16,000 signatures with mission statement like this:

The Bank of England are redesigning the £50 following the successful redesign of the £5, £10, and £20 notes. None of these notes so far have featured a World Cup semi finalist floating on a mythical creature, and in the interests of football’s attempts to come home, who would be more appropriate to feature than Harry Maguire riding an inflatable unicorn?

Come on guys, after such a brilliant statement, you should fully support the initiative and waste few minutes of your life to sign the petition!

FYI, England right-back Kyle Walker is also proposed to put himself into the £5 banknote and as you can see it it’s a really good one:
