Star striker Fernando Torres took seven appearances to score his first goal in J-League he joined this summer. Spaniard came off the bench of 64th minute of Emperor’s Cup clash between Sagan Tosu and Vissel Kobe and 20 minutes bagged third of the game from the fine shooting position. In fact, all the credits for the goal should be awarded to Torres’ team-mate Akito Fukuta, who rescued the ball for Spaniard and made brilliant assist after beating defender with mind-boggling trick.
- Sagan Tosu won the game 3:0 and see themselves in the next round of the tournament
- Anders Iniesta came as sub on 56th minute for Vissel but couldn’t help his side
I didn’t know that Torres was playing in Japan now. It’s cool to see big name players playing in leagues outside of Europe. It really shows how the game is growing globally.
