Finally West Ham has some good news for us as club officially appointed their new manager Manuel Pellegrini. 64-years-old Chilean ex-Man City boss has left Chinese side Hebei to make switch back to Premier League and signed three-year contract with Hammers. Pellegrini is now the highest paid manager in West Ham’s history with his aforementioned £8 million-a-year deal.

West Ham are lucky to capture such quality manager. Hopefully chairman David Sullivan will be able to keep him for at least a couple of seasons to see some real improvement.
Big name but.. Let's face it even though he won the Premier League with City he was disappointing IMO. He had the best squad in the league by a mile. Still will be interesting to see how he does with such an unbalanced team like West Ham.

Comparing to Guardiola, yes, of course. But Citizen's 100 goals in 2013/14 in just 34 games under Pellegrini is still remarkable achievement, the percentage of wins was insane though. But will he succeed in West Ham – that's a big question, for sure.
