Major League Soccer announced the full list of nominees of annual year-end awards. The race for the 2018 Most Valuable Player awards (associated with MLS all times legend Landon Donovan) consist of 5 finalists such as Josef Martinez, Miguel Amiron (both of Atlanta United), Carlos Vela (LAFC), Wayne Rooney (D.C. United) and Zlatan Ibrahimovic (LA Galaxy).
Zlatan is also nominated as Newcomer of the Year as well as Comeback of the Year, the award for the players who overcame injuries on their way to league success. Big Swede must be pleased with the attention he's been given.
The selected managers, who will argue for the award, are Bob Bradley (LAFC), Gerardo Martino (Atlanta United) and Peter Vermes (Sporting Kansas City).
The complete list can be viewed here.
Wayne for me has been really impressive. I hope he wins.

Yeah... You can say that again. Almost singlehandedly took them from bottom to the playoffs. Just very unfortunate he missed a decisive penalty in the playoffs.
