Ex-England and Manchester United legend finally completed his long-expected move to MLS where now on he will be rescuing Eastern Conference under-performers DC United.
According to Washington Post, 32-year-old forward has signed a contact that will see him become highest paid player in not only club’s but in MLS history with a salary of $13 million over 2,5 years.
- Wayne Rooney moved to USA from his boyhood club Everton where he spent the 2017/18 season, scoring 10 goals in 31 games
- DC United are currently rock bottom of the Eastern Conference with 10 points in 12 matches which is league absolute anti-record

I think it's a step down for his career, which all the players of that experience do and can continue to play football. Obviously not at the same level and the requirement is not international (at least as in Europe).
I am sure he will do very well and he will be able to continue scoring excellent goals, he is a fearsome player in the area and a top scorer.
