DC United star Wayne Rooney, who recently joined MLS side and became most expensive signing in club’s entire history, is definitely enjoying his new challenge. Since his arrival on June, former Manchester United and England captain dramatically changed things of his team. Once were rock bottom in the Eastern Conference, now DC United are finishing the season at the top half of the table – thanks to the magnificent Rooney-effect.

In his interview to Business Insider 33-year-old star, who scored 12 vital goals in 2018 so far and looks fully revived after the unimpressive Premier League seasons, explained they key factor of team revival – it’s all about communication:

It's not rocket science — if you can go and form relationships with the players and speak to them. I know a lot of players who come here — big players in other countries — they haven't attempted to form those relationships or to buy in to what the team are doing. I think it is important. You do that, and you can have a big impact on the team.

Rooney backs the words he saying with proper actions – the captain recently refused his first class fly option as well as accommodation in private hotel rooms during the away fixtures just to stay close with the teammates – great commitment of great professional.
