Juventus CEO Giuseppe Marotta refused to rule out the option of landing Matteo Darmian from Manchester United, calling the Italian a “good player”.

Darmian has been isolated from the first team lineup at Man United this campaign, managing to make only two Premier League starts the whole season.

Numerous reports from Italy have hinted that the full-back would leave Man United at the end of the season and join Juventus, who showed enthusiasm in the 28-year-old over the summer.

Giuseppe Marotta, when asked about Italy international, wouldn’t discuss any possible transfer talks, he did reveal that he admired the player.

Darmian has always been working hard on the pitch. He has always been a player prepared to get on with his business diligently – a trait Juventus certainly admire.

But the game in England, particularly this term, seems too quick for him as if his legs literally cannot keep up with what is occurring.

You get the feeling that Darmian has to absorb the smell and feel of a game to perform, but at Man United, it usually seems like he can’t even get his feet under the table. A move back to his homeland seems like a rational choice.
